The Oriental Shop makes every effort to ensure that card transactions are safe and that your personal information is secure. Payments are taken through a secure server to which no unauthorised persons have access. Your details are not retained once we have processed the order.
Delivery charges will be discounted for multiple orders of more than 3 items, so please click on all of the pieces you are interested in purchasing and we will email you with the final total cost for goods and delivery charges. Receipts will be sent by post. For items with no button, please call or email as detailed below.

Delivery Charges: We provide free local delivery up to a 50 mile radius from us, and free delivery for large orders of over £2000 for up to a 200 mile radius from us. If you live further than the areas quoted, there will be small delivery charges to cover the extra distance. £8.00 charges if you live in the restricted zone. Please remember to measure all staircases, hallways and doorframes in addition to the place where you would like to place the furniture so that we are able to move the item into your home safely and comfortably. For those in a flat, please ensure we can carry the furniture in the lift. To avoid damage to our furniture and injuries to our staff, we do not carry furniture through the windows or over the fence through the back garden, and if this is the case we will have to leave your goods at your front door. There will be a delivery charge if we unable to deliver your furniture.
TNT Courier Delivery charges varies from £20.00 to £50.00 per item for working day delivery. You may choose a suitable delivery day. Standard delivery service time is between 9 am to 5 pm.
These rates only appicable in UK mainland but not Scottish highlands
For Scottish highlands the rates start at £ 55.00 per item.

Reservations: 10% deposit to reserve furniture for a later date delivery. Goods can only be reserved for up to 2 months, so please make arrangements with us if you would like us to hold the goods for a certain period of time.
Custom-made: We provide made to measure services for rosewood and lacquer furniture. Drawings or receipts are first provided for your approval before we place the order.
Cancellations must be made within 14 days of placing the order, and the deposit will be refunded.
Delivery time is between 4 to 8 months. Once you are happy to proceed with the order, we will require a 30% non refundable deposit.
Guarantee: All our furniture has been through a stringent quality control before leaving the factory, and thoroughly checked and cleaned before delivery to your home. Our furniture is handmade and painted, so please allow for minor imperfections.
Furniture Care: Use spray polish such as Pledge or Mr Sheen for your weekly cleaning. To maintain your rosewood and lacquer furniture in a pristine condtion, use almond oil, such as Orange Glo (available in Asda), every 2 or 3 months.
Return and Refund: Please let us know of any damages within 7 working days and we will give you a full refund (cost of goods and delivery charges) if our goods are delivered and are damaged by the courier. We will make arrangements for the goods to be collected and then process the refunds.
Due to the nature of our furniture, our goods are expertly packed in a few layers of polystyrene for safe delivery by courier, and we are therefore unable to give a free home trial. If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchases, please contact us within seven days of receiving your goods, and provided they are returned in their original condition and packaging we will give you a full refund excluding the delivery charge. We will make arrangement for the goods to be collected by our ourselves, and there will therefore be collection charges. Refunds will be processed once the returned goods have been checked.
