The goldfish was domesticated by the Chinese at least as early as the Song Dynasty (960 – 1279)
Goldleaf Lacquer plaques are made by pasting 24 carat square goldleaf on one inch thick board.
Drawings and painting of varies subjects are then painted by hand and then finished by a few coats of clear lacquer.
